Preventing pages from being viewed outside of their frame set

ForceFrame lets you prevent pages that appear within a frame set from being viewed outside of the frame set. For example, a search engine might refer to a topic described in a content page in one frame of your multiframe Web page. With ForceFrame, a viewer clicking the search engine's link to your page would see the entire frame set of the page, not just that content page in a frame by itself. This action is particularly useful if the other frames in your page contain elements such as banner logos that identify your site, or buttons for navigating though the site.

This action should only be applied to content pages that are part of a frame set.

To apply the ForceFrame action:

1 Set up the action trigger as described in Setting up actions. The trigger should be applied to all content pages that appear in the frame set, but not the frame set itself.

2 Choose Actions Plus > ForceFrame in the Action Inspector or the Actions palette.

3 For frame set, enter the name of the frame set in which you want to display the content page.

4 For Frame, enter the name of the frame in which you want the content page to appear.
